Long live salsa!
Hosted at Cramer’s Ice Cream on Independence Avenue, in the heart of the Windhoek CBD, Salsallujah is the Salsa Windhoek Social club’s monthly street salsa party and the only one of its kind in the country and has attracted dancers from Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa. It has also hosted the likes of DJ Drumspeak, from Toronto, Canada as featured DJs.
A party for everyone
With Cramer’s Ice Cream as a partner, Salsallujah has been a staple of national social calendar since 2016 and provides a unique dancing environment for any dance-hungry Windhoeker and traveling dancer passing through the country.
Free of charge, safe, and family friendly, all dance enthusiasts are welcome to attend.
Salsa, bachata, cha cha, merengue, dance hall, as well as some select African rhythms are on offer for anyone looking for a dance experience unlike any other.
